Beatdom Anthology

This may seem a little premature, but planning is important: Around the start of 2012 I would like to release a Beatdom anthology.

The idea is to pick the best essays from the magazine (which by then should have run to ten issues) and condense them into one Beat resource that will be published by City of Recovery Press.

Perverts Wanted

Just kidding… or maybe not. We need artists and we need art about sex. Whether that means something depraved or something tasteful, let us know. We are open-minded.

Beatdom Books

When Beatdom was first published, back in 2007, we founded a little publishing company called “Mauling Press” to print and distribute the magazine. After a while they became known as “City of Recovery Press,” (or CoRP) and that’s the company that still publishes Beatdom.

Beatdom’s On the Road

Greetings. As you will have gathered from the previous post, there’s not much action over at Beatdom. Beat news reports and our Facebook quote game have been on hiatus, and there hasn’t been much news about issue eight or the long-awaited subscriptions.

Subscriptions

Beatdom is now three years old and has gathered quite an impressive number of fans, along with some brilliant contributors and a reputation for the best of the best of today’s Beat-centric literary criticism and Beat-inspired short-form literature.

As such I believe it is time to move forward. Beatdom has always been a non-profit entity, free of paid advertising and distributed directly by the magazine’s owner and editor.
